Beginning in 1899 when it was operated as a place for local farmers to sell their milk and for residents to buy dairy products, and since 1992 as a historical museum, The Creamery has provided an important service to the community.  The original Creamery building complex is being restored with the acquisition of the “old boiler plant" next door, the re-addition of the “old ice house" and the construction of a connector building, as it once was.

This will allow the Historical Society to expand its important research and archive functions and provide increased exhibit space for the exceptional collection of artifacts now in storage, and for planned acquisitions.
